Spring is a crazy time of year for homeowners here in the Kansas City Metro. We have St. Paddy’s Day Parades, Royals opening day, little league starting up, soccer, spring break and so much more! It’s also a very busy time for your lawn & landscape. Lawn Care
- Pre-emergent herbicide to prevent summer weeds
- Slow release fertilizer to help the lawn stay green well into the late summer months
- Sod bare spots so they will be green and healthy all summer
- Spray to kill broadleaf weeds before they mature and develop ‘beautiful’ yellow flowers
- Be sure lawn mower is tuned up and ready to go for the year with sharp blades bring the blades by our office if you want us to sharpen them
- Mow the firsttime, lower than normal to remove the winter brown (should be done before April 1st) then be sure to raise your mower back up to its highest setting

Landscape & Flower Beds
- Prune back perennials including knockout roses (before April 1st)
- Edge existing mulched beds
- Mulch beds
- Apply pre-emergent herbicide to beds after perennial plants begin to come up (make sure you read the entire label to avoid injuring any plants)
- Prune any overgrown plants before they begin to put on new growth
Trees & Shrubs
- Spray to prevent disease on susceptible trees & shrubs (including emerald ash borer prevention)
- Prune any overgrown plants before they begin to put on new growth
- Mulch and put pre-emergent herbicide around trees to prevent mower damage
Sprinklers & Landscape Lighting
- Turn on and inspect sprinkler system
- Confirm backflow preventer is compliant with local laws as needed
- Check and repair any broken outdoor lighting
