Custom 7-Step Lawn Care Program
Application 1 (Feb 15 to May 1) – The best slow-release fertilizer available, combined with a weed control product that prevents summer grassy weeds, guaranteed. If your lawn was dormant or spring seeded, this round is straight fertilizer and the pre-emergent moves to Application 2.
Application 2 (Apr 15 to Jun 15) – Liquid fertilizer, 100% guaranteed grub control, lawn growth regulator, pre- and post-emergent weed control, and insecticide for problem lawn pests (sod webworms, cutworms, armyworms). Other fertilizer and weed control included as your lawn’s conditions require.
Application 3 (May 15 to Jul 1) – Very slow-release granular fertilizer with advanced summer annual weed control, including nutsedge and other pesky summer weeds.
Application 4 (Jun 15 to Aug 1) – Specialized hot-weather weed control, including nutsedge and other summer weeds. Your lawn expert also completes a full analysis of your lawn and landscape plantings with recommendations and a proposal for fall renovation work.
Application 5 (Aug 1 to Sep 15) – Custom fertilizer blend designed to help your lawn recover from summer stress. It does not interact with a seeded lawn or planned seeding.
Application 6 (Sep 15 to Nov 1) – Liquid fertilizer and weed control for early winter annual weeds and fall-germinated broadleaf weeds.
Application 7 (Nov 1 to Jan 15) – A heavy rate of fertilizer that promotes root growth and energy storage for increased winter resilience and a great early spring green-up.
Dates are an ideal timeline and can shift with weather, scheduling, and your lawn expert’s recommendations. Actual materials used will vary based on the exact needs of your lawn as determined by your lawn expert.

How much does a lawn care program cost in Olathe?

How many applications are in the program?
Seven, spread across the growing season. Each one is timed to what Kansas City turf needs at that point in the year, from early spring pre-emergent through the fall winterizer.
What if an application does not work?
There is no charge for a double application. If you feel the first treatment did not do its job, we come back out and re-treat at no cost.
Is the program safe for kids and pets?
